You could also go for the more expensive Ultra2 controller, but according to the specs, that only wins when you 3+ disks on the bus. hard-drive controller is a VL-300 which provides both an IDE drive chain, and a SCSI drive chain. The SCSI controller is compatible with the Adaptec chipset.
